NEW: Junior Software Developer - Online Video

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Developer to work on pioneering online video projects. The successful candidate will join our growing team based at Adastral Park near Ipswich (home of BT Research Labs) and help develop some of the most advanced video service applications based on our proven proprietary technology

The role is ideally suited to someone with 1-3 years of relevant experience, or possibly a recent graduate with relevant experience in the required technology. This is an amazing opportunity to join an online video start-up that is transforming the industry.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent software development experience with web applications including HTML5 video technology
  • Advanced JavaScript and JQuery software development experience
  • LAMP platform experience including PHP and MySQL software development
  • Experience with agile development methodologies utilising TDD.

Desirable skills:

  • Experienced with HLS, HDS and / or MPEG-DASH and other HTTP video rate adaptation technologies
  • Experience delivering commercial large-scale software solutions.
  • Understanding of HTML5 media playback features and device compatibility issues including feature detection, supported video formats and 3rd party library code and applications.
  • Hands-on experience with FFMPEG
  • Experience using AWS EC2 and other AWS services.

Motion Graphics Designer / Compositor / Editor

We are looking for a skilled motion graphics designer to join our growing team in Ipswich, Suffolk. Working as part of a team to create interactive personalized video campaigns, you will have design flare and ability, being able to produce compelling and informative online video experiences. This is an amazing opportunity to join an online video start-up that's working on projects at the cutting edge of the industry.

Skills & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a broad motion graphics skill set, with a proven track record in creating great videos.
You’ll have all or most of the following skills:
- Great with Adobe After Effects for keying, compositing and animating footage (Bonus points for experience of Trapcode/Cinema4D and other plugins!).
- Good knowledge of Adobe Premier, though not essential.
- Experience with Adobe Audition or similar programs for audio processing.
- Be completely at ease with creating concept imagery, assets and graphics within Photoshop and Illustrator.
- An understanding of codecs and which ones to use and when, along with some knowledge of rendering video for viewing on the web.
- Knowledge of video production practices and editing techniques (Bonus points for Production experience).

The successful candidate will be motivated, comfortable with client correspondence when required, and will be organised. Working under the guidance of our Creative Director you will be working in post-production, where you will also play a role in pre-production storyboarding. You'll be able to digest the contents of a script, gather and create assets, conceptualize treatments and then create the final compelling video.
